We don't even have a license!

I tend to watch whatever series my sis is currently borrowing off my dad.

Currently it's My Name Is Earl.

Could be worse!

Hmm. Are you British? We in Canada don't need licenses.

Yeah, but you don't have the BBC either.

Not the same channel, at any rate.

British TV licenses are paying for BBC programs... which is how they can afford not to show any third-party adverts, unlike every other channel...

Yes, I know that, hence I guessed you were British. BBC news is one of the channels that we get. Does that not sound like its BBCish?

Edit: I read my post and it seemed a lot harsher than when I wrote it. No insult is meant.

AHAHAHAHA! Oh man, Doctor Who rocks, indeed! The 4th Doctor was my favorite. I haven't been watching them too much recently (we get it on SciFi on Fridays).

Ummm... Yes?

Although having said that, over here the BBC pretty much own the airwaves. Er.. oh yeah... they do.

All the other channels have to pay them rent, I believe, or some similar arrangement.

Having the BBC NEWS channel isn't quite the same as having BBC NEWS, BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC 3, BBC4, BBC RADIO 1, etc, etc.
