'Course it is! Bugs are full of edible bits, you just have to crack them open.
You might not want to look too closely at what you're eating, though...
However, were the bug to follow vaguely scientific rules, it couldn't be purely bug-like on the inside anyway. At the very least, it would need lungs, as normal insect breathing apparatus can't support a body that big in an environment that's only 20% oxygen.
This is backed up by the fact that it roars instead of chirping by rubbing its legs together... so, yeah. Saehral's declaration of "meat!" may not be too far off.
